TOOLS FOR GRIEF

• Go on what I know, not on what I don’t know.

- Ask others to be honest and open with their needs.

- Be honest and open with my own needs.

• Take every thought captive.

- Is what I’m feeling/thinking true?

- Does it line up with God’s word?

• Renew my mind.

- -Speak only truth to myself and to others.

• Care for one another.

- -Listen without judgment, cry without shame, love without limits.

- -Be patient with myself and others.

- -There is no right or wrong way to grieve.

- -There is no timeline for grief.

• Pray continually, Praise God.

- -Talk to Jesus about everything. Tell Him all of my ugly, shameful thoughts and feelings and lay them on His altar as a sacrifice and allow God to burn them up. (Judges 13:19-20)
